From a burger showdown to a National Oyster Day feast, here are the best events in and around the Mile High City this week.

SUNSET YOGA SERIES AT CATBIRD
Get some midweek stress relief at this recurring yoga series at the Catbird Hotel. Denver Yoga Social instructors will lead yogis through a vinyasa-style sunset class, soundtracked by beats spun by local DJs. Afterwards, guests can continue their relaxation session thanks to an extended happy hour at the Red Barber and free swag from Vibe Foods, Smart Water, and Natalie’s Orchid Juices. DENVER BURGER BATTLE
Help decide which burger reigns supreme in the Mile High City at this annual cook-off. Contestants like the Cherry Cricket, Snarfburger, and Border Burger Bar will serve their best grub, like a roasted poblano, grilled pork belly, and raspberry-jam-topped entry and a peaches-and-cream burger. Your ticket will get you unlimited samples of burgers and beer, plus a vote for the people’s choice award. Aug. 4; 5:30 p.m.; $84–$154

NATIONAL OYSTER DAY AT IL POSTO
Oyster lovers can fill up on their favorite bivalve at this seafood-centric affair. Tammen’s Fish Market and Il Posto will offer all-you-can eat oysters, champagne, a free drink coupon, and even educational stations, where you can learn how to properly shuck an oyster. A portion of the proceeds go to Project Angel Heart, which connects people living with severe illnesses with nutritious meals. Aug. 5; 4–6 p.m.; $50

¡SALUD AND JUSTICIA!
Through a variety of mediums, Colorado artist Carina Bañuelos-Harrison will explore mental health issues within the Latino community in this pop-up art exhibit. Bañuelos-Harrison aims to normalize conversations about mental health, particularly because the pandemic has led to increased mental health crises, especially in brown and Black communities. HOPS IN THE HANGAG
The Centennial State is teeming with beer fests, but this one is not like the others: it’s held in Wings Over the Rockies’ hangar. Quaff selections from 20 different local breweries, while mingling with an assortment of aircraft and vintage cars from the Old School Street Rollers Car Club. Attendees will also get to listen to live music, hit up food trucks, and take part in games. Aug. 6; 6–9 p.m.; $20–$55

CHERRY CREEK NORTH'S PETS ON THE PLAZA
You and your dog will be able to socialize at this pet-friendly gathering. The event, which benefits the Dumb Friends League, will including activities for pets and their families, vendors selling dog- and cat-related products, live music, and on-site experts who can answer all your burning questions.
