Since the start of the pandemic Denver has seen rents declining
The online real estate company Apartment List has been tracking a steady decline in Denver rents since the start of the pandemic.
The analysis from apartment list put the median for a two-bedroom at $1,564 in October, down less than a percent from September and down 5.2 percent from the previous October. Rents in Denver have fallen 4.9 percent since the start of the pandemic in March, according to Apartment List’s calculations based on data from both the Census and the company’s own listings.
On the other hand, Zumper, another online real estate company, looks at its own and other listings in hundreds of cities across the country. For October, Zumper calculated Denver’s median two-bedroom rent at $1,920, steady from the previous month and down 3.5 percent from October of 2019.
